The arts continue to blossom on the Seacoast this weekend. Here are a few of the entertainment options.

Music and rug hooking at The Word Barn

Award-winning singer-songwriter Antje Duvekot heads to Exeter for a show at The Word Barn with guest Connor Garvey on Friday from 7-9 p.m. ($25). Isabel Ardito Lebo leads another Rug Hooking Workshop on Sunday from 12-2 p.m. ($60), and teen phenom Jake Kohn follows that night from 7-9 p.m. ($22). Learn more here.

Two shows at The Stone Church

Members of Cool Cool Cool, Lespecial, and Space Bacon come together in the J.WAIL Live Band, which performs live at The Stone Church in Newmarket on Friday at 8 p.m. ($20). Rock My Soul Spring Concert

Local raise-the-rafters choir Rock My Soul will present an evening of spirituals, Civil Rights songs, soul, blues, pop, gospel, Americana, and more during its spring concert at First Congregational Church Wolfeboro on Friday from 7:30-9 p.m. Tickets are $30, with a portion of proceeds supporting KIND (Kids in neeD). Triple-bill show at WSCA Radio

Three area acts will share the Button Factory Stage during a special night of music at WSCA Radio in Portsmouth on Friday from 8-10 p.m. Newmarket jam band Backyard Aquarium headlines with support from Manchester-based alt-metal band Proelium and singer-songwriter Rock Dove. Doris Rice Painting Adventure at the KAA

Get ready for a painting adventure with acclaimed local watercolor artist and teacher Doris Rice. She’ll be leading a two-day workshop on the Fundamentals of Plein Air at the Kittery Art Association’s Art HUB on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets are $175. 2024 Exeter Arts & Music Fest

Celebrate spring and all things local at the 2024 Exeter Arts & Music Fest in Swasey Parkway on Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Presented by TEAM (Town Exeter Arts Music), the event will feature live music on two stages, food trucks, art vendors, and kids’ activities. The Bluest Sky (record release) at The Dance Hall

Led by songwriter Chuck Melchin, The Bluest Sky’s music pays homage to the best alt-country bands of the 1990s.
