The arts are blossoming on the Seacoast this weekend. Here are some highlights.
Solo exhibitions at N.H. Art Association

The N.H. Art Association is unveiling three new solo exhibitions during Art ‘Round Town in Portsmouth: printmaker Linda Behar’s “She Speaks: Body Language,” sculptor James Coyer’s “Scripted Sculptures,” and photographer David Olken’s “In Search of Norumbega.” The opening is on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Learn more here.
Caribbean Party for Haiti at 3S Artspace

The 15-piece Haitian-American band Kandjanwou Rara is bringing the festival music of Haiti to Portsmouth. The 15th annual Caribbean Party for Haiti takes place at 3S Artspace on Friday from 7-10:30 p.m. The fundraiser for Life and Hope Haiti will also feature Latin and reggae music from DJ Cklokwize. Three concerts at The Dance Hall

As usual, The Dance Hall is bringing a diverse array of music to Kittery this weekend. Max Wareham & The National Bluegrass Team (pictured) kick things off with guests Scott Heron and Jake Davis on Friday from 7:30-9 p.m. ($10-$22). Local favorite Soggy Po’ Boys hosts a dance party on Saturday from 7:30-9 p.m. ($12-$22). Percussionist Brian Shankar Adler and the Rasa String Quartet wrap things up on Sunday from 3-4:30 p.m. ($15-$32). Learn more here.
‘Much Ado About Nothing’ at Millspace

Jonesing For Theater’s funny and relatable adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic comedy “Much Ado About Nothing” takes place on a modern-day college campus. It’s on stage at the Millspace in Newmarket from April 4-13; show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25. Learn more here.
Chris Janson at The Music Hall

One of the major figures in country music’s new breed will be in Portsmouth for a concert on Friday night. Multi-platinum songwriter and artist Chris Janson, a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry who has penned numerous top country hits, will perform at The Music Hall at 8 p.m. Tickets are $68.50-$125. Two live shows at WSCA Radio

The young folks are storming the stage at WSCA Radio in Portsmouth this weekend. Dreamy lo-fi band The Orrs headlines with guests Otis and Tin Fish on Friday from 8-10 p.m. Mango Catch! brings its high-energy vibes to town with Mother Nimbus and Astral Ferns on Saturday from 8-10 p.m. Tickets are $10-$15. Loads of live music at The Stone Church

The Seacoast’s own vintage hair-metal band Camarojuana (pictured) brings its “Intergalactic Tour” to The Stone Church in Newmarket on Friday from 8-11 p.m. ($15-$20). New England’s premiere Pink Floyd tribute band Echoes of Floyd follows on Saturday from 8-11 p.m. ($25-$30). And blues and roots-rock group Brad Vickers and his Vestapolitans play a special matinee show on Sunday from 4-6:30 p.m. ($10-$15). Learn more here.
Spring Blooms Watercolor Workshop at the KAA

Celebrate the season with your own original artwork. Local artist and teacher Dustan Knight will guide participants through the process of painting a spring garden in brilliant colors during a Spring Blooms Watercolor Workshop at the Kittery Art Association Art Hub on Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets are $85. Ghostbird + Regals at Milk St. Studios

Like the South American bird for which it is named, Ghostbird delivers hauntingly beautiful melodies while looking like idiots. They’ll bring their heavy, psychedelic sound to Milk St. Studios in Dover for a live performance on Saturday from 7-9:30 p.m. Regional alt-country band Regals opens the show. Tickets are $10. Portsmouth Pro Musica: Carmina Burana

Portsmouth Pro Musica will be joined by Safe Haven Ballet and the Portsmouth High School percussion ensemble for its spring presentation of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana.” Concerts place at Portsmouth High School on Saturday from 7:30-9:30 p.m., and at Exeter High School on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. Tickets are $15-$20.
