Have Lunch with PBS’ Ciao Italia Host Mary Ann Esposito
To celebrate opening day, the host of the nationally televised PBS series Ciao Italia will host a special luncheon. Just in time for the growing season ahead, Esposito will share highlights from her newest book, Ciao Italia: Plant, Harvest, Cook! Topics will include easy Italian-inspired recipes, seasonal flavors for delicious meals, and growing tips for simple home herb and vegetable gardens. Get luncheon details here.
Bee-Keeping Demonstrations, 10AM – 4PM
Visit with Bedrock Garden’s resident beekeeper Mary Ellen McKeen to learn more about bee keeping and hive culture. You’ll also get to taste some of Bedrock’s very own honey! Mary Ellen is the president of the NH Beekeepers Association, and a great resource for anyone interested in bee keeping. Great for the whole family!
Meet Bedrock Garden’s Very Own Fairy Godmother, 10AM – 4PM
Want to encourage your children to get off their devices, play outside, appreciate nature, use their imaginations, and be creative? Visit with our very own Fairy Godmother (aka Peggy) and learn about her fun, fanciful, family-friendly and FREE nature programs coming up this summer. From scavenger hunts, to ephemeral art, to making “magic” wands, she’ll lead your family through a delightful day of outdoor adventure. Come say hi, and learn more about these very special kids programs that offer just a touch of fairy dust and magic to outdoor learning.
