Slack Tide & Superfrog w/ DJ Green Lion Crew at The Press Room

77 Daniel Street,Portsmouth,03801,US

A night of the finest reggae-rock the Seacoast has to offer to warm up your late Jan—followed by a DJ set by Press Room favorite Green Lion Crew!

Slack Tide is an award-winning reggae-rock trio featuring Chris Cyrus, Jake Smith, and Adam Jeffrey. The band began in late 2017 at Berklee College of Music and has since made its roots in seacoast New Hampshire. The band has performed over 250 times in New England, from bars to clubs to festival main stages. Heavily focused on the live show experience, The Tide is well known for their improvisational prowess as a live trio, exploring songs with a creative curiosity, channeling jam bands such as The Grateful Dead and Phish. The original songs written by Cyrus celebrate all that New England has to offer, from the sands of Hampton Beach to the snowy peaks of the mountains. If you’ve never seen Slack Tide before, this is a perfect opportunity to see something unlike anything else you’ll find. It’s not a high tide or a low… This is Slack Tide.

Superfrog

Four songwriters. Two drummers. Hip shaking calypso jams. Screaming guitar solos and huge, thumping bass lines. Ripping on the keys and jungle-ing on the congas. Party all night, straight on into the morning. Pausing for beautiful vocal harmonies only to dive back into a dirty break-beat. Get the albums because they are fantastic. See a live show because it will be epic.
