The Hill is what remains of an Italian neighborhood in Portsmouth’s North End that was razed during a 1960s bout of urban renewal. A dozen buildings – some dating back to the 1700s – were saved and converted to offices and the Blue Mermaid restaurant. Some buildings were moved to Strawbery Banke Museum.
