Six bands take part in Dover Revolver

Six local bands, six downtown venues, one worthy cause — those are the basics behind Dover Revolver, a live music event taking place on Saturday, May 2, from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Over the course of five hours, six bands will rotate between the six venues, playing 30-minute sets before moving on to the next spot. Guests can stay at one venue and catch all six acts, or follow their favorite band from stage to stage.

The participating bands are Martin England & the Reconstructed, Soggy Po’ Boys, Muddy Ruckus, Clara Berry and Wool Dog, Broken Amps, and The Bluebirds. The participating venues are the Dover Brick House, Fury’s Publick House, 7th Settlement Brewery, Sonny’s Tavern, Orchard Street Chop Shop, and Cinco de Mayo Bar & Grill.

Donations of $5 will be collected at each venue, or a $10 wristband gives you access to all six venues. The event is intended to raise money and awareness for End 68 Hours of Hunger, an effort to confront the approximately 68 hours some schoolchildren face between their free school lunch on Friday and breakfast on Monday.
