Pete Kilpatrick Band at Newburyport Brewing Co.
Maine-based rocker Pete Kilpatrick will bring his band to the grounds of Newburyport Brewing Co. on Friday for an early outdoor concert from 6-9 p.m. Kilpatrick, who earlier this month shared the stage with Kevin Bacon and The Bacon Brothers, makes his debut full-band appearance at the brewery. Concerts at The Word Barn
The Word Barn hosts three great shows this weekend in Exeter. Singer-songwriter Tré Burt, who’s signed to John Prine’s label, performs in the meadow on Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. ($20). The Jacob Jolliff Band (above), led by a mandolinist who toured for years with Yonder Mountain String Band, follows on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. ($20). Celtic, jazz, and classical music are on tap in Kittery. The Dance Hall hosts the Sean Heely Celtic Band (above) on Friday from 7:30-8:30 p.m. ($20). Vocalist Chris Humphrey leads a tribute to a late jazz great in The Voice of Clark Terry at John Paul Jones Park on Saturday from 5:30-7 p.m. ($15). The Stone Church in Newmarket kicks off the weekend with a set of original tunes and classic covers from Mass-based super group Skunk Sessions on Friday from 8:30-11:30 p.m. ($15). “Sci-fi fusion trio” Consider the Source (above) follows with a set of progressive rock and improvisatory jazz on Saturday at 9 p.m. ($17). Artists will sell their work at discounted prices during the summer YART Sale at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hundreds of pieces will be featured inside and outside the 3S gallery, including acrylics, gouache, graphite drawings, watercolor, pigmented resin, oils, charcoal, and more.
