“Sojourner Stories” at Pontine Theatre

Pontine Theatre’s next production combines three stories by noted New England authors. On stage through March 30 in Portsmouth, “Sojourner Stories” features adaptations of Sarah Orne Jewett’s “A White Heron,” Alice Brown’s “Farmer Eli’s Vacation,” and Robert Frost’s “The Star-Splitter.” Tickets are $29-$32. Local folk-rock favorite The Kenny Brothers Band kicks off a packed weekend at The Stone Church in Newmarket with opener Todd Hearon on Friday from 8-11 p.m. ($15-$20).
