Holiday jams at The Stone Church

Fill your holiday weekend with joyous music at The Stone Church in Newmarket. The venue’s Spirit of Giving Holiday Festivus presents local a cappella group Mixtape on Friday at 7 p.m. ($20 suggested donation). Upstairs that same night, Kevin Ashley’s East Coast All Stars present Ho Ho Home for the Holidays at 7:30 p.m. ($15-$20). On Saturday, Jerry Garcia Band tribute Sans Souci hosts a holiday celebration at 8 p.m. ($20-$25). Learn more here.
Holiday laughs with McCue’s

Load up on holiday cheer with a standup show in Portsmouth. McCue’s Comedy Club presents an all-star lineup featuring Boston-based favorite Jack Lynch at Rio Tequila Cantina on Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. ($20). The man himself, Jim McCue, headlines at the Roundabout Diner on Saturday from 8-9:30 p.m. ($20). Learn more here.
Holiday dance parties at The Press Room

The Press Room in Portsmouth is hosting two local deejays for afternoon and late-night dance parties on Saturday. Join DJ Chad Banks downstairs for a free, all-ages, holly-jolly Santa Dance Party from 12-3 p.m. Move upstairs later that night for some house, nu-disco, and techno tunes with DJ Ryan Obermiller from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. ($10).
Kandace Springs at Jimmy’s

Internationally acclaimed jazz and soul singer and pianist Kandace Springs will return to Portsmouth for back-to-back performances at Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club on Saturday. Show times are 7 p.m. (low ticket warning!) and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10-$85. Both concerts will also be live-streamed online for $9.99 each. Learn more here.
Abby Holidays at The Music Hall Lounge

Singer-songwriter Abrielle Scharff returns to her hometown to present her sixth annual Abby Holidays show, taking place at a new venue this year: The Music Hall Lounge in Portsmouth. She’ll perform twice on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., with the duo of Sam Robbins and Halley Neal opening. Tickets are $25-$35. Learn more here.
