Comedian Jessimae Peluso
Jessimae Peluso’s extensive comedy résumé includes her role on MTV’s “Girl Code” and appearances on Comedy Central, “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, VH1’s “Hip Hop Squares,” and many other programs. She’ll headline three shows at Cisco Brewers Portsmouth this weekend, all hosted by local comic Josh Day and also featuring Marty Caproni. New Hampshire Sampler at WSCA
Bars Over Bars, a Boston-area hip-hop showcase run by rappers Hero and Greyhound, puts the spotlight on New Hampshire hip-hop acts during a show on the Button Factory Stage at WSCA Portsmouth Community Radio on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 6-10 p.m. The Granite State performers on the bill include Mike Wing, Aaron Brown, Chatham the Sun, DDwili, Young Silva, Just for Kicks, Hero, Greyhound, and DJ Jawz. PartyGras 2020 with Truffle
Mardi Gras is a special time of year for longtime local band Truffle. The group’s soulful style is inspired by the sounds of New Orleans. They’ll play their annual PartyGras concert at The Stone Church in Newmarket on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. Joining Truffle this year is the Hot Tamale Horn Duo. The Best of Bunny and the Fox
The extraordinary duo of Bunny Wonderland and Joslyn Fox has been presenting their Bunny and the Fox drag shows for three years now. They’ll celebrate the anniversary with a best-of performance at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 8-11 p.m. The event will include solo, duo, and group acts featuring an ensemble of area queens like Kitty Willow, Rita Fluxx, Regan White, Lady Ginger, Cherry Lemonade, and Vera Rose. Long Play at The Press Room
Liars Bench Beer Company is offering an exclusive release of its Nielson Schmielsen double IPA with a special event featuring a live performance of Harry Nilsson’s “Nilsson Schmilsson” by local band Jazzputin. They’re calling the event Long Play: An Album-Inspired Beer & Concert Project. It takes place at The Press Room in Portsmouth on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 9 p.m. Jazzputin will close the night with a set of original music. Tickets are $12-$15. For more information, click here.
