Tufts Health Plan is launching a New Hampshire-based health insurance company with five Granite State hospitals, including Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover. Called Tufts Health Freedom Plan, the company is the latest insurance provider to set up shop in the state. Five hospitals — Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, Concord Hospital, LRGHealthcare in the Lakes Region, Southern New Hampshire Health System, and Wentworth-Douglass — will make up the company’s network. The company is seeking an insurance license from the state’s Department of Insurance and plans to begin operating by Jan. 1, 2016. — Larry Clow
