Winter parking available for downtown workers

The city is again offering parking in the Isles of Shoals parking lot throughout the winter for downtown employees. The parking office is currently taking applications for permits for the 51-space parking lot; permits last from December through March 30, 2015. Permits are $25 a month; to qualify, applicants must present a current payroll statement from a downtown business. Permits must also be renewed each month. Applications are available at the parking office in city hall at 1 Junkins Ave. Details on the program are available at parkportsmouth.com.
